Upon arrival at Nyerere International Airport, you will be met and transferred for overnight accommodation at Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel 4 stars B&B. Your head guide will meet you for your briefing, After breakfast pick up from the hotel for your drive to Selous Game Reserve (Driving some 5-7 hours).

Best time to visit.
The best time to take this 8 days safari in the southern parks of Tanzania is mostly in the drier seasons and you will need as much as possible to avoid the rainy seasons between April and May. The best time would be the drier season between January and March and again in July to September.
However other cooler months like June and between October and December are also Ok and with the beautiful landscapes you are sure to have a stunning safari tour in the South of Tanzania.

Day 1: Dar-Es-Salaam To Selous-Game-Rerseve | Start Point.
On day 1 of this tour, you will depart from Dar es Salaam and drive to Nyerere National Park. The journey will take you through the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Once you arrive at the park, you will check in at your lodge and have the rest of the day to relax and explore the surroundings.
After lunch and settling in your activities start with a boat ride at the legendary Rufiji River Camp at Selous for sunset boat safari. You expect to enjoy great scenery as well as see animals like hippos and crocodiles as well as aquatic and non aquatic birds as they fly by. Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge a nice mid range lodge by the banks of Rufiji River Camp.

Day 2: Fully Day In Selous-Game-Rerseve | 1 st Night

The drive is long and will take up most of the day, but it is a great opportunity to soak in the scenery and reflect on your safari experience. You will arrive in Dar es Salaam in the evening, marking the end of your Southern Tanzania Safari adventure.
